Butterfly Valve Technology Overview

A detailed look at the various butterfly valve types on the market today. Each valve style will be explored to differentiate design features, materials, performance expectations and targeted applications.  This will help you specify the proper technology and avoid misapplications. The workshop will be interactive and hands-on with the various valve styles in the RE Mason valve assembly shop.

This class will give a brief overview of the newly released Fisher products including the Fisher Control-Disk, 2052 Rotary Actuator, and the Non-Contact Fieldvue DVC 6200.

New 475 Communicator with ValveLink Mobile

This workshop will be an interactive presentation using the New 475 handheld communicator with ValveLink and ValveLink Mobile in a live demonstration.  You can improve your planning and preventative maintenance by learning how to view and store diagnostics in the field, setup and calibrate valves quickly, troubleshoot valves, and maximize the enhanced device configuration management.

Overview of Automated On/Off Valve Basics

What considerations should be taken when selecting products for critical on/off valve applications?  These considerations will be explored in relationship to various valve and actuator technologies.  This will help you to select the best products for your application.

REM Valve Services – Duke Energy Test Flow Loop Demo

Alex Kidd & Ray Young:  Wednesday 4:00-5:00 pm & Thursday 1:30-2:30 pm

A live demonstration of the test loop designed and built by REM Services for the Duke McGuire Nuclear Plant during the fall of 2009.  The loop was designed to test Fisher Regulators to ensure that air supply to a safety related system is delivered to the valves reliably and repeatedly.

Valve, Actuator, and Accessory Mounting Considerations

Ed Butler:  Wednesday 1:30-2:30 pm, Thursday 8:30-9:30 am & Friday 8:30-9:30 am

This session is an interactive discussion in the R.E. Mason valve machine shop on valve to actuator and actuator accessory mounting.  Suggested considerations will be made to prolong the life of automated valve components and to avoid unscheduled downtime.
