Mounting Hardware
During an unplanned maintenance shut-down in the middle of the night, there is nothing more frustrating than discovering that the valve and actuator mounting hardware do not fit together.

Most of our customers and many valve automation suppliers who sell multiple brands of valves and actuators face this problem on a regular basis.

We solve this problem with our own consulting and assembly services for mounting hardware at our facility in Charlotte, NC. We work from a vast library of valve and actuator drawings and frequently conduct on-site surveys to ensure a proper fit.

The two major concerns when designing mounting hardware are:

  • Ensuring that the center-line of the valve shaft and actuator shaft are aligned.
  • Making sure there is no flexing of the mounting bracket when the assembly strokes.

Lack of these conditions can easily result in shaft side loading and premature wear to the valve packing, seals and bearings resulting in eventual failure. The actuator can also suffer with additional forces to the shaft, bearings and seals – again leading to failure.

We recognize the inherent problems with third party mounting hardware that is not designed and built by experienced valve personnel.  That is why we recently made a significant investment in both people and machinery.

Our goal is to control these critical areas of valve automation in order to maximize the life expectancy of your investment and deliver a solution on-time that works in the middle of the night.
